Miami, Florida – La superestrella global Shakira deslumbró una vez más a los amantes del fútbol con una espectacular presentación durante el partido final de la Copa América™️, realizado en el Hard Rock Stadium en la ciudad de Miami.
La 14 veces ganadora del Latin GRAMMY® hizo historia durante la final de la Copa América™️, el torneo de fútbol más antiguo del mundo, al ser la primera artista seleccionada por la CONMEBOL para encabezar una presentación musical durante el entretiempo de la final, disputada entre Argentina y Colombia.
Shakira se tomó el Hard Rock Stadium con una imponente producción e hizo vibrar a los asistentes y espectadores alrededor del mundo con una presentación de 7:15 minutos, en donde interpretó algunos de sus mayores éxitos.
La colombiana abrió la celebración con el clásico “Hips Don’t Lie”, “Te Felicito, “TQG” y “Puntería”. Además, Shakira estuvo acompañada por un equipo de 12 bailarines.
La música de la tres veces ganadora del GRAMMY® no solo estuvo presente en la final, sino también a lo largo del torneo. “Puntería”, la pegajosa colaboración de Shakira y Cardi B, fue la canción oficial de la cobertura de TelevisaUnivision, el canal oficial de la Copa América™️ CONMEBOL 2024 en Estados Unidos.
Asimismo, Shakira se convierte en la primera cantante latina que se ha presentado en la final de los eventos deportivos de fútbol más importantes a nivel global: tres veces en la Copa Mundial de Fútbol de FIFA, una vez en el Super Bowl de la NFL y la primera presentación de entretiempo de la Copa América 2024.
“Hips Don’t Lie” sonó en la final del Mundial Alemania 2006, durante su presentación como invitada especial de Wyclef Jean. Para el siguiente mundial, la FIFA escogió a “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” como la canción oficial de Sudáfrica 2010, tema con el que hipnotizó al mundo antes, previo y en la final del torneo. La CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™️ se jugará en Estados Unidos e incluye 10 equipos de la CONMEBOL y 6 equipos invitados de la Concacaf. En esta edición, este tradicional torneo será organizado por ambas confederaciones.
Las seis selecciones de Concacaf se clasificaron a través de la Concacaf Nations League 2023/24. Los representantes de América del Norte, Central y el Caribe son Estados Unidos, Panamá, Jamaica, México, Canadá y Costa Rica.

Miami, Florida — Global superstar Shakira once again wowed football fans with a stunning performance during the Copa América™️ final at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
The 14-time Latin GRAMMY® winner made history during the Copa América™️ final, the world’s oldest football tournament. CONMEBOL selected Shakira to headline the first-ever halftime musical performance in a final match, disputed between Argentina and Colombia this year.
Shakira amazed the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium with an incredible show that captivated audiences around the globe. Her 7.5-minute performance showcased her biggest hits.
The Colombian opened the celebration with the classic “Hips Don’t Lie,” followed by “Te Felicito,” “TQG,” and “Puntería” with a team of 12 dancers.
The music of the three-time GRAMMY® winner was present not only in the final but throughout the tournament. “Puntería,” Shakira’s memorable collaboration with Cardi B, was the official song for TelevisaUnivision coverage, the official broadcaster of Copa América™️ CONMEBOL 2024 in the United States.
Moreover, Shakira became the first Latin female singer to perform during the finals in the most acclaimed global football events: three times at the FIFA World Cup, once at the NFL Super Bowl, and now at the first-ever halftime musical performance at Copa América 2024.
“Hips Don’t Lie” played at the Germany 2006 World Cup final during a special guest appearance with Wyclef Jean. For the next World Cup, FIFA chose “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” as the official song for South Africa 2010, a track that mesmerized the world before, during, and at the tournament’s final. In Brazil 2014, Shakira returned to a FIFA final to perform “La La La” during the closing ceremony.

CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ will be played in the United States and includes 10 teams from CONMEBOL and 6 invited teams from Concacaf. In this edition, this traditional tournament will be organized by both confederations.
The six Concacaf teams qualified through the 2023/24 Concacaf Nations League. The representatives from North, Central, and Caribbean America are the United States, Panama, Jamaica, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica.
In the 48th edition of one of the continent’s most important competitions, this will be the second time in the tournament’s history that it will host 16 teams – having hosted the same number of teams in its 2016 edition, also held in the United States.
Teams that have won 10 FIFA World Cup™ titles and the greatest stars of world football will take the field to compete in 32 matches in this edition of the tournament in June and July 2024.
