Después de su paso por la 3ra edición del Bogotá Horror Film Festival, la película española ‘The Winter Hunger’ del director Álvaro García, vuelve nuevamente a proyectarse en Colombia, esta vez lo hace dentro del marco de la 5ta edición del Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Santander que se celebrará del 21 al 25 de febrero de 2022.
Esta película que ya acumula más de 25 selecciones y casi 10 premios a nivel mundial cuenta con la participación del actor colombiano Jeison Ossa nacido en el municipio de Yotoco, Valle, quien interpreta a ‘Equis’ un personaje autista con síndrome de Asperger que se une circunstancialmente al resto de los personajes de la historia en busca de un refugio seguro donde protegerse del inminente invierno.
Jeison Ossa, se formó como actor en la escuela Estudio de Actores en Cali, del reconocido actor John Mario Rivera realizando varios trabajos audiovisuales y teatro a nivel local.
Posteriormente fijó su residencia en España integrándose en el circulo audiovisual de su provincia, donde participó en varios cortometrajes y proyectos formativos. Finalmente coprotagoniza ‘The Winter Hunger’ junto al elenco más selecto de la cinematografía local.
‘The Winter Hunger’ después de su pre-estreno en la comunidad autónoma de Cantabria, España el pasado 17 de julio, está teniendo un gran recorrido en el circuito de festivales a nivel nacional e internacional, proyectándose en el Atlanta Horror Film Festival de Estados Unidos, donde además se llevó el premio al mejor largometraje extranjero, también ha sido seleccionado en el prestigioso Drácula Film Festival, uno de los festivales de género más importantes de Rumania y Europa, el Boca do Inferno de Brasil, también ha tenido presencia en Italia, España, Nigeria, Republica de Macedonia, Eslovaquia, Chile, Reino Unido y por supuesto Colombia.
Sinopsis:
Una mutación del virus de la rabia, B249, se ha transmitido a los seres humanos. La infección estalló inicialmente en el norte de Sumatra y solo necesitó 20 días para exponer todo el continente. Ahora, tres meses después del primer caso, hemos renunciado a la lucha. Las personas infectadas atacan a todas las criaturas vivientes que encuentran en su camino; solo un mordisco es suficiente para infectarse y los efectos aparecen después de unos segundos.
No hay electricidad, ni comunicaciones, ni ejército, ni gobierno. Un grupo de cinco supervivientes huyen al campo, lejos de las zonas pobladas. Llega el invierno.
La película podrá verse el próximo 24 de febrero a las 15:30h en la sala de exhibiciones 1 de la UNAB, la entrada es gratuita.

The Winter Hunger- returns to Colombia to participate in SANFICI
After passing through the 3rd edition of the Bogotá Horror Film Festival, the Spanish film ‘The Winter Hunger’ by director Álvaro García is once again being screened in Colombia, this time within the framework of the 5th edition of the International Film Festival Independiente de Santander to be held from February 21 to 25, 2022.

‘The Winter Hunger’ after its preview in the autonomous community of Cantabria, Spain on July 17, is having a great tour of the national and international festival circuit, screening at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival in the United States, where it also won the award for best foreign feature film, it has also been selected at the prestigious Dracula Film Festival, one of the most important genre festivals in Romania and Europe, the Boca do Inferno in Brazil, it has also had a presence in Italy, Spain , Nigeria, Republic of Macedonia, Slovakia, Chile, United Kingdom and of course Colombia.
Synopsis:
A mutation of the rabies virus, B249, has been transmitted to humans. The infection initially broke out in North Sumatra and took only 20 days to expose the entire continent. Now, three months after the first case, we have given up the fight. Affected people attack all living creatures in their path; just one bite is enough to get infected and the effects appear after a few seconds.
There is no electricity, no communications, no army, no government. A group of five survivors flee to the countryside, far from populated areas. Winter comes.
The film can be seen next February 24 at 3:30 p.m. in the exhibition hall 1 of the UNAB, the entrance is free.
