Hellas, officially the Hellenic Republic, is the country known as Greece, and Hell is the place where many of us will end up sooner or later!
Chris Koutsogiannis became the Voodoo Drummer after participating in a funeral in Benin, West Africa, and his appearances in New Orleans. He toured with the British cult trio the Tiger Lillies, among others, before forming this odd act in Athens with Stavros Parginos.

Adding the “Weirdofon,” a one octave – out of tune – Metal Balafon (the African metallophone), plus sounds, noises, chants, bells, as well as voice, saw, violin, guitar and balafon from the guest musicians, doesn’t change the final primitive, minimal and unusual sound.
